Friday. already late for the london party Was it Left? loses all power outside brugge...exiting the highway mONgOLIATH 1 lost all power. clinging to vague hopes of making the party in london we try stuff for a while, precariously placed on the edge of the motorway. no luck so some rather dangerous looking towing activities ensued to get us into the outskirts of brugges (as I found out we were later). a call to diego's breakdown insurance revealed that we were in fact not covered for europe. Aaargh for an extra 10 euro a year. another hour or so later we get a tow truck guy to tell us he can't fix it and it is in fact a national holiday in belgium the next day so the fiat garages won't be open. guy then says he can tow us to a place that will be open on saturday in oostende. BUT, the garage probably won't be able to get a distributor belt the next day cos of the holiday and we discovered that we left our spare in Leiden. So back to leiden and no party. booo.
