looking for parts and getting to budapest turned out to be rather frustrating..
searched for a while for a fiat garage in brno. met some nice people along the way. they claimed our transmission was the problem and a replacement would be needed but they would have to order a part. more frantic planning in addition to yesterday meant that we decided to drive to budapest to try again. unfortunately got fined for lack of highway tax and not having lights on when we were leaving. policeman was a nice bloke though, even though communication was a problem. Unfortunately when asking about the fine at the slovakian border our reception was not as warm, in fact involving mostly a policeman shouting CHECKPOST at us for a while. bought highway tax for slovakia. on arriving in budapest we split up to find a garage and accomodation. crazy terrace campsite. went for dinner having not eaten for almost a day and a half, but were fined again for not validating our subway ticket, and then after quite a lot of arguing and failiing to get the police to come we went for dinner by continuing on the bus since the rest of the subway seemed to be closed for works. Unfortunately I put us on a bus going to the outskirts after apparently misinterpreting a random we spoke to, so we spent forty minutes randomly on public transport to get back to where we started only to find that everything was shut or looked crap. asking the taxi driver, we were then instructed to go back to where we got on the subway in the first place. Eventually got some food. We are thinking of starting a mONgOLIATH only being allowed to eat once a week after midnight. This will also make us more efficient with toilet stops
